Hitch Pricing Admins can edit and create pricing tables using predefined templates. Pricing tables allow your company to set prices based on distance and for specific routes (zip to zip).
To edit/create a pricing table, use the following steps:
1. Log in to Hitch and go to the “Pricing Tables” tab in the left column. To view/edit the pricing for an existing pricing table, click the eyeball icon on the left of that row.
2. You can add rows individually by clicking the “Add Row” button at the top, or copy/paste your data into one row and the rest will create themselves. Once you make changes to the table, it will autosave.
3. To view/edit the pricing table definitions (Order Owner Accounts, Order Payer Accounts, etc.) click the “Edit” button (pencil icon) on the right of the row under “Actions.”
After making changes, click “Save” at the bottom.
IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the Sequence Priority setting. If multiple pricing tables have settings that can apply to one order, the Sequence Priority decides which table’s rules are applied to the order. The lower the number, the higher the priority.
When you try to change a Sequence Priority, you’ll see this message warning you that any changes could immediately affect your orders. If you’re sure, click “Yes” and then select a new Sequence Priority.
4. To create a new pricing table, go to the “Pricing Tables” tab in the left column and click the “plus” icon (+) at the top right.
Choose whether you want to create a new Customer or Transporter pricing table, then choose either “Distance Pricing” or “Route based Pricing” (zip to zip).
5. Next, define the pricing table details (Table Name, Customer Accounts, Order Owner Accounts, Description, etc.) then click “Create.”
(Sequence Priority will be set to 10,000 automatically, but can be changed later using Step 3 above.)
6. Once you create a table, view the table to add details. You can add rows individually by clicking the “Add Row” button at the top, or copy/paste your data into one row and the rest will create themselves. Once you make changes to the table, it will autosave.
