During the vehicle pick up/drop off inspection process, drivers can get the customer’s signature remotely (i.e. on their own device, instead of signing on the driver’s device). This also allows the customer to view/save the Bill of Lading (BOL) and share the link with others.
1. The driver will start by selecting “Share Signature Link” on their device.
2. Next, the driver will have 2 options: "Share the Link” or “QR Code”
Share the Link will prompt them to enter the customer’s phone number or email, which will then send the customer a link to sign from their own device.
QR Code will show a QR code on the driver’s device that the customer can scan using the camera on their device, which will provide a link for the customer to sign from their own device.
3. Once the driver shares the Remote Signature Link, they’ll receive a notification that it was shared successfully. The driver will receive another notification when the customer signs and then they can continue progressing the order.
4. If the customer is not available to sign, the driver should select “Sign” in Step 1 and then select “Mark as Customer Not Available.” This allows the driver to continue progressing the order and will prompt the transporter admin to follow up and get the customer’s remote signature.
