The following terms are helpful to know when using RunBuggy.
Roles
Admin – The main person who oversees an entire RunBuggy instance.
Customer/Rooftop/Dealer – A single location that’s usually part of a larger Auction company.
Broker – A transport company known as a broker that oversees another transport company (subcontractor) and assigns some of their orders to that subcontracting company.
Driver – The person who picks up, drives, and delivers vehicles for a transport company.
Payer – The person or company that pays for a vehicle transport.
Shipper – The person or company that requests vehicles to be moved.
Transporter – A company that moves vehicles and manages drivers.
User – Anyone that has any type of account within a RunBuggy instance.
View Config Admin – A RunBuggy administrator role that allows a person to change Company Configuration settings that impact all users.
Terms
BOL – Bill of Lading, a document created by the transport company as a shipment receipt.
Gate Pass – A document that allows entry to a lot for the transport driver to pick up or deliver vehicles.
Payout – The portion of a transport price that is paid to the transport company and/or driver.
RDK – Runs, drives, keys.
S-Order (Shipper Order) – A request to move vehicles. Can be put on a single truck or split between multiple trucks. Each Shipper Order can contain one or many Transportation Orders.
T-Order (Transportation Order) - A whole load on a truck (can combine vehicles from different Shipper Orders). Each Transportation Order can contain one or many Vehicle Transfer Orders (VTO).
Tow – When creating an order, “tow” designates a non-operational vehicle that requires special transport/must be loaded with assistance.
VTO (Vehicle Transfer Order) - A single vehicle. Each VIN/Vehicle will have its own order number.
YMM – Year, make and model.
