The pick up verification code feature adds an extra layer of security during vehicle pick up. If pick up verification codes are enabled by the Shipper who created the order, the Driver will be notified upon order acceptance that a unique verification code must be provided to the Pick Up Contact before the vehicle inspection and loading process can begin.
For orders that require pick up verification, the Pick Up Contact receives a verification code by email after the Driver marks themselves as arrived at the pick up location. The Driver is then prompted to provide their pick up verification code to the Pick Up Contact. The codes must match before the Driver proceeds with inspecting and loading the vehicle(s).
This verification process helps confirm that the correct Driver is onsite and authorized to pick up the vehicle(s), reducing the risk of unauthorized pick ups and enhancing shipment security. Shippers can choose to require pick up verification codes for any or all of their orders.

Enabling Pick Up Verification (Shipper)
Below are the steps and screens showing the Shipper how to enable pick up verification codes for one or all of the orders they create.
Enable for a Single Order
- Go to the Orders screen.
- Find the order and open its Order Details.
- Set pick up code verification to Enabled.
Enable for All Orders
- Go to the Account Management screen.
- Click Company.
- Scroll down to the Pick Up Code Verification section and click the Pencil button.
- Toggle it to Pick Up Code Verification on your Orders has been enabled.
- Click Save.
Confirming Pick Up with a Verification Code (Pick Up Contact)
Below are the steps and screens showing the email the Pick Up Contact will receive to confirm the verification code with the Driver once they have arrived at the pick up location.
- Open the Pick Up Verification Required email from RunBuggy.
- Click Verify Pick Up.
- Confirm the verification code matches the one provided by the Driver.
- Once it's confirmed that the codes match, click I have confirmed this code with the Driver.
- The Pick Up Contact will see that the pick up has been verified with a date and time.
